Help! What to wear?

Ok, I now have a clothing dilemma: What am I going to wear on the plane?? Factors to consider:

1. It’s about 10-20 degrees (celcius) colder in NYC than it is here
2. I have to be comfortable on the plane – meaning looser bottoms, and no jeans – this is a 15 hour plane ride!
3. Colin is picking me up. This means that I have to actually look good coming off the plane…dammit. (Kidding. Would much rather have the boy come pick me up and stress about what to wear now, than arriving JFK just tired and cranky.)
4. It can’t be something I actually want to wear when I’m in NYC, since I don’t want to smell like the plane, but this is also difficult since I don’t have many ‘proper’ winter clothes for cold weather (I live in sub-tropical climate – what can I say?)

My options:

Sneakers or Uggs (convenient on a plane – can just slip them on and off whenever I get up/sit back down, plus they’re way warmer)

Juicy sweatpants or Jack Wills trackies (kind of like this but cuter), which are pretty warm (cotton jersey lining, thick and heavier cotton outside)

Zip up hoodie (cotton) or black wool sweater-hoodie (warmer – but itchy!)

Down vest or Knee-length black wool coat to pull on once I’m off the plane

Ugh, need to figure out how to mix and match and look comfortable but not sloppy, and stay warm at the same time…
