(LI=Love Interest) I met a boy last night! haha Finally. It’s funny how before I moved, I always said I would focus on the job hunt first and then when I have a job, find a boy (or boys) to date, and the weekend before I start a new job, I meet a boy! Crazy.

Anyway, so last night I was at this bar in the Lower East Side, and my BFF here and I were standing around chatting and laughing about how we have a great time whenever we’re with each other, regardless of who is with us and what’s going on around us when a boy approaches and says, “You two look like you’re having a ton of fun!” and we started chatting. His vital stats are: 26, 6′2″, looks like Ryan Gosling, and is a tax attorney who recently moved from Florida. We were chatting a lot and spent pretty much the rest of the night together, and he was so cute! He was calling me adorable (I wish he was calling me hot or gorgeous instead, lol – another topic for another time) and kept leaning in as if to kiss me, but I kept turning my cheek and then finally just said that I don’t kiss boys that I’ve only just met (part of my new plan on how I’m gonna approach dating), and later he said, “I can’t look you in the eye!” When I asked why, he responded, “Because it just makes me want to kiss you!” AWW. haha

He got my number about halfway through the night, by pulling his phone out and saying “I need your number, like, NOW.” Then proceeded to ask when it was appropriate to call, and obviously I was going to be all coy about it and said “whenever you want to call…when do you want to call me?” and he was like “TOMORROW!”

Ah, it was so nice to get hit on by a guy I actually like. I really like this one, he seems really sweet, and we both have the same religious background, he’s pretty smart (three degrees! And he’s a lawyer!), and I love that he was so down to earth, no bullshit. After I got home, he texted me and said, “I’ll talk to you tomorrow. By the way, you are pretty awesome. ” AH! haha

So all day today I was like “is he going to call? maybe he was just drunk…although he didn’t seem that drunk, I think I was drunker than he was, etc”, but then he called me around 8.30 and now we have a date! Thursday night, since that’s the first night I’m not working this week (that I know of, anyway). We’re gonna go for dinner somewhere…not sure where though, he said he’ll call me later this week to tell me.

I LOVE HIM! haha (ok not really, but I definitely have a crush on him). FINALLY, some action in my love life!

Now…what to wear???
