Today, I am grateful for:
My grandparents, who each wrote me a check for my move to NYC. Their generosity puts me at over my NYC goal, and I am definitely very grateful! I’m still going to put away the money I planned on putting away from my July salary though – the bigger an emergency fund is, the better! (Although I definitely don’t plan on being unemployed for more than 2 months!!)
Sidenote: at the wedding I attended on Sunday with my dad, I overheard my grandma telling my grandpa that they should give me money to buy clothes. I thought about it, and realized that the reason my grandma wants me to have money for clothes is because she thinks that the better I dress, the quicker I’ll be able to find a husband and get married, so she’ll have a big wedding for her first grandchild sooner, and then I’ll have babies and she’ll get to play with them. LoL (It’s most likely true – my grandma keep telling everyone that her next ‘big party’ will be my wedding, and then she tells me that she can’t wait to play with a baby again. LoL!) So the sooner I’m employed in NYC means the sooner I’ll get to spend my NYC fund on clothes.
Definitely grateful!
Money. In general, I have been actually accumulating quite a bit (at least by my standards) through various means, and I am very grateful for that. Keep on comin’!
My body. I actually went through the entire sculpting routine on my Shape DVD this morning, and it’s the first time I was able to do the entire 30 minutes of any of the workouts on that DVD! My arms are definitely sore now, although I’m excited to keep exercising and hopefully lose a little weight and tone up in time to get into a bikini in front of 20 other people at my birthday celebrations! Will be doing the ‘potpourri’ routine tomorrow…let’s see if I can make it through the whole half hour! (Last time I nearly did, but doing push-ups on my knees on my wooden floor is somewhat painful. Will be better prepared this time…)
Friends & Family, as usual. These are the people I will miss the most when I move, although I am also grateful for the friends I have in NYC! (Especially Laney, who I may be crashing with initially depending on whether I have an apartment or not once I move!)
Random tidbit:
Still dreaming about Colin. He showed up in my dreams last night, and I can’t really remember what happened, but I do know I woke up feeling quite nostalgic and slightly sad. Haven’t been in touch with him since that email in April. Wonder if I will get in touch with him when I move. Hm. Haven’t quite decided on that…may just send a “happy birthday” text (his birthday’s the day after I arrive in NYC). We’ll see.
What are you grateful for today?

Well you seem pretty prepared! I reckon you’re going to have a blast!
The grandma thing…shit…talk about some pressure! But the fact that you’re going to get new clothes out of this whole thing is one hell of a bonus…so entertain her thoughts just a little bit longer
And as for Colin…bugger…it’s not nice that he’s messing around in your dreams still but you’ll move on! I’ve just moved home (as you may well know) & have still not contacted *BF & I probably won’t! I guess just by being in the same city doesn’t make things any easier! On the contrary actually…it is going to be difficult to avoid him…which I probably would prefer in the end! Fucker…I dislike him intensely even though I regularly check out his Facebook page & wonder what he’s doing! Logic gets the better of me in the end…thankfully!
You’ll know what to do when the time is right!

I have wooden floors in my apartment too. It makes home workouts so difficult! Congratulations on finishing your DVd though! I’m always so happy when I finish a workout routine for the first time.
Today I am grateful for my family, TV, coffee, and mineral make up.

My best friend, and the funniness that he shares everyday. One of my other best friends, and his encouragement in writing and love and crazy times. Hell, all of my best friends and their loveliness.
Blogs and bloggers and words and shared experiences.
Love.
The sun, the beach, the water. Being tan.
This breakfast burrito and my coffee.
My family.
Love.
Mostly. And most of all.
And you!

That is great your grandparents gave you a check to help with the move. That is so sweet of them! I love too that they think new clothes will help you get married faster. Hilarious.
I’m grateful for my apartment which I will be able to stay in now with the new owner and the nice weather, I mean it’s still warm but not too bad

I’m grateful for the people that put up with me- even when I insist on acting like it’s my world and everything has to be like I want it too. I’m really grateful for the friends that can tell me when I’m being a complete bitch- but they love me anyway. I have a way of pushing boundaries.
